In Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney doesn 't change many physical features and plot elements from the Brothers Grimm 's version. The major physical attributes remained the same, “a little girl… as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as ebony...”(Tater 83) Despite Disney’s ability to capture this essential aspect of Snow White’s character, Disney excluded another fact. In the Grimms ' tale, the story featured a 7-year-old Snow White while Disney presented a 14-year-old. With the age discrepancy between the girls, it conveys a change made to lessen the reality that people find a 7-year-old child beautiful. In Snow White’s case, the Queen found her beautiful enough to attempt to kill her. Either way, finding a 7-year-old or a 14-year-old beautiful or attractive in any sense doesn’t portray a delightful reality. With Snow White, her beauty advances the story because of her stepmother’s jealousy. For instance, many fairy tales contain a wicked, jealous character; this character type lets their jealousy drive them to revenge. Both Disney and the Grimms’ stepmother follow this format; the Queen allows her jealousy to gain power over her. This leads to her wanting Snow White dead for wronging her. To achieve what she desires, the title “the fairest of all”, the stepmother tells the huntsman to kill Snow White. In each version, the Queen needs some organ as proof of death. When the huntsman fails to kill Snow White, he kills a boar to trick the Queen with. Disney…
